The new crew of chickens

The abbey has a new crew of four chickens. They’re now a little over a week old. They should be laying by August. With only one adult chicken at present (Patience), the abbey kitchen desperately needs the eggs.

Congrats David. Are they in their pen in this picture or out and about in the greater pen area? Are they all the same type of chick?

Hi Henry. The new chickens at present are living in a cage in Ken’s room. He takes them out to the orchard to play for a while every day. We got two barred rocks and two golden comets. They’re growing fast!
