We did it in the style of an old-fashioned church picnic. Church picnics aren&#8217;t as common as they used to be, I think, but people around here sure remember how to do it. It&#8217;s a historic site that has been restored and remains in use for community events. Stokes County doesn&#8217;t have a lot of jobs, and it doesn&#8217;t have a lot of money.
