Watching a bewildering world from the middle of nowhere
The first fresh vegetables are so welcome. We are enjoying yellow squash, zucchini, and yummy red potatoes. That first fresh tomato is still a few weeks away.

When he got to the part about the permafrost melting and releasing viruses frozen since the Stone Age, I could have but one response, as follows:
